The pineapple, peach, and other fruity notes have a larger presence as opposed to the base notes of cedar, musk, or sandalwood. The drydown emits a very complex mix of fruity, floral, and woodsy notes that give this piece a very gentlemanly vibe.
The fragrance is ideal adventurous businessman wear. If you are a working man who has a reputation of a chill, and easy-going person, with an assertive base character than this fragrance will best enhance these qualities in you.

The notes that follow them are floral geranium, rose, and jasmine. The product gets an ultra-masculine vibe because of the base notes that carry sandalwood, warm patchouli, and musk.
This is the perfect spring or summer scent for men. This is not your routine signature scent but has more of beach-y traits to it that make it a really good vacation scent. Women can wear this equally well with a bold and headfirst attitude.
For a cheapie, you will be able to get a lot of performance out of this one. However, the sillage can be rated between moderate to weak, which does not make this a scent you can flaunt.
8. Versace Red Jeans for Women Eau De Toilette Spray

- Best Season/Climate: Winter/Cold
- Ideal For: Women
- Longevity: 6/10
- Sillage: 7.510
Let’s first talk about the drydown, as that is the most delicious part of the whole process due to the chocolate and vanilla combination of notes. Although the fragrance opens with a bouquet of floral notes, it soon progresses into more subtle feminine scents that are more tasteful to the average working woman. Not to mention, the top notes have their own fans too.
It is appropriate for the everyday affairs of a working or college going woman. If you like a pleasant feminine touch to your personality, then this is a really good option for you. Best applied in the cold climates.
The product does have a good sillage and maintains its presence in the air for a significant amount of time. But, the performance definitely could have been better since the window between top notes and drydown notes is very short. It is still great for an inexpensive cologne.
10. Elizabeth Taylor White Diamonds
White Diamonds was released in the year 1991, and the perfumer behind this masterpiece was Carlos Benaim. The success of Elizabeth Taylor’s cologne and perfume line paved way for many other celebrities to launch their own fragrances. The idea behind this scent was a sheer floral touch similar to other luxurious classics of that time.
- Best Season/Climate: Winter/Cold
- Ideal For: Women
- Longevity: 7/10
- Sillage: 7/10
The prominent scent of top notes like neroli, tuberose, ylang-ylang, aldehydes lingers in the air with the first waft of air. Once these notes burn off, you are met with earth and green oakmoss in the middles notes followed by sandalwood and musk that really enhance the floral notes and carry them forward.
It is a really cheerful and bright fragrance that works really well on young college-going women. It is probably way more suitable in the colder weather as opposed to the warmer ones.
The only problem with the fragrance is that it starts cloying in really crammed or busy places. Therefore, it is safe to say that Summer or warm climates are not the best times to wear it. Otherwise, it is a decent performer and great quality for the cost.]
11. Beyonce Heat By Beyonce For Women
The heat was released by an R&B Music sensation and worldwide popular singer, Beyonce. The product was launched in February 2010 and the composition was created with the help of two perfumers namely Olivier Gilloton and Claude Dir. - Best Season/Climate: Summer/Warm
- Ideal For: Women
- Longevity: 7/10
- Sillage: 8/10
After a spritz, the fragrance opens up with its top notes which consists of red vanilla orchid, and it comes really close to smelling like lily-in-the-valley or strong freesia. It starts sweet spicy and enters its middles notes with musky cream and almonds, which are really unique and comparatively new notes to the fragrance industry.
It is quite ideal for women who are looking for a signature scent which sets them apart from the general crowd. Summers and springs are probably the best times you can flaunt this scent around.
This is a unique and bold scent which is not easily spottable in such low rates. This is a great cheapie to invest your money in. The fragrance is decently lasting and spreads across like a wildfire.
12. Lucky You By Lucky Brand For Women
This is one of the cheap perfumes that smell expensive if you are looking to grab a really good deal. Lucky You was launched in 2000, and the perfumer behind this piece is none other than Harry Fremont who has whisked scents for Vera Wang, Calvin Klein, and others. He has also won many accolades including many FiFi awards!
- Best Season/Climate: Summer/Warm
- Ideal For: Women
- Longevity: 8/10
- Sillage: 8.5/10
This is your body lotion or shower gel smell that opens with a very floral and fruity accord. It feels more like a scent you can wear in the spring season, then winters or colder climate. Although it has a floral accord to it, the scent does not seem to dissipate easily and instead goes on to expand itself and smell brighter. The base notes of musk, amber, and sandalwood are very stark too.
This is a pretty safe bet for those casual workdays where you don’t know what else would go. The ideal wearers of this scent are women, and despite the floral touches, it is a great scent for women of all ages.
The projection of the fragrance is very bold and eminent. The longevity and sillage of this product make it a great pick for summer times. All you have to do is spray as much as you can bear, since it tends to get overpowering in the wrong way.
13. Design by Paul Sebastian Perfume Spray
This oriental floral fragrance by Paul Sebastian was launched in the year 1985 and is a classic that seems to have a following of its own. This is one of the best cheap cologne for women considering the kind of high-quality essential oils and performance the piece carries.
- Best Season/Climate: Winter/Cold
- Ideal For: Women
- Longevity: 7/10
- Sillage: 8/10
The presence of the aphrodisiac civet oil is very prominent as one of the base notes in this combination. The opening of this product is very floral, soft, and feminine before it recedes and the musky and masculine civet notes become really on-your-face. This is definitely an acquired smell for women, certainly not your average everyday girl fragrance.
Design is your perfect date smell, the projection of the fragrance is not only sexy and ravishing, but also a kind of chirpy yet assertive which can make anyone go head over heels for you. If you want to stand apart from the crowd, this is the fragrance that’s going to help.
The sillage of this fragrance is enormous and many buyers would confirm this fact. Due to this even a 3.4 oz bottle is bound to last you for a long-long time. However, the smell is so strong that you can easily get exhausted of it and it can tire your olfactory senses.
14. Perry Ellis 360 Red for Men
Designer Perry Ellis debuted with his fragrance line in 1985 with perfumes for men and women. This particular fragrance was released in 2003 and is known to be one of the best cheap cologne for men. - Best Season/Climate: Summer/Warm
- Ideal For: Men
- Longevity: 6.5/10
- Sillage: 6.5/10
There are no clear notes which are able to stand out in this concoction; however, it is still a really great smell for men. You do get a minor punch of citrusy aroma due to the presence of orange mandarin, lime, and bergamot. The end is very woodsy and musky as patchouli and vetiver, and oakmoss play their cards. This is a sincere attempt at a good masculine smell.
It is a very versatile fragrance and can suit the characteristics of almost all types of men from all age groups. As far as the best season goes, try to use this in summers and warm weather to help it effuse its full potential.
The performance of this fragrance is decent but could have been better. After the first time you spray it, you can sense the residue for after 3 hours and then it’s flat. This scent also does not have the ideal manly accord but works for many young men nevertheless.
15. Ed Hardy Perfume for Women
Ed Hardy fragrances for men and women were launched in 2008, as a tribute to the tattoo master, by Christian Audigier. The perfume for women embodies womanhood in a very chic and bold way and is known to be the female scent representative of the tattoo art.
- Best Season/Climate: All
- Ideal For: Women
- Longevity: 7/10
- Sillage: 7/10
Explosive fruity notes of mango, red grapefruit and wild strawberry truly capture the femine energy in a punk vibe. The middles notes enter on with more of black freesia with its intense peppery flower undertones. The fruit cocktail notes end up into a “vanilla pudding” kind of scent right at the base notes of the perfume.
Women who carry a feminine boldness in their character are best suited for this kind of perfume. This is definitely not your everyday wear as the fragrance effuses into the air like a revolution and grabs a lot of attention.
Although this is a great pick for cheap cologne for women, it is not the kind of relaxing, calming, and chirpy female smell. Nevertheless, the performance is decent and it is sure to spread through wafts of air and turn heads.
16. Grey Flannel by Geoffrey Beene Cologne for Men
Geoffrey Beene only contains 5 perfume variants in their cologne line, with the earliest created in 1975. It is known that all the proceedings from the sales and revenues from the company are donated to charitable trusts. This fragrance was one of the first pieces to have come out for the brand, and it was blended by Andre Fromentin.
- Best Season/Climate: Winter/Cold
- Ideal For: Men
- Longevity: 6/10
- Sillage: 6/10
The fragrance opens with a spicy kind of green scent with Galbanum and other notes of neroli, petitgrain, along with citrus-bursts of bergamot and lemon. Even though this piece has been released for men, their female-counterparts can enjoy its lush greenness as much. The clear and fragrant smell of cedar and oakmoss work at the base notes of the scent very well.
The projection of the fragrance is really sharp as well as soft, which makes it a great wear for mature women and men. The best time to wear this perfume is at night in a cold atmosphere. Warmth can possibly cause cloying and turn it pungent.
Many buyers would agree that the product lasts for a significant amount of time and is okay for the kind of price you’re paying for it. The trail this scent leaves after you is decent too.
17. Yves De Sistelle Thallium for Men
This oriental fougere fragrance was launched in 2015 and was marketed toward men. The brand behind this fragrance is known as Yves De Sistelle which is a relatively new company in the market, however they already have more than 100 perfumes in the line with the earliest and latest released in 2010 and 2022 respectively.
- Best Season/Climate: Winter/Cold
- Ideal For: Men & Women
- Longevity: 6/10
- Sillage: 7/10
As the scents opens and starts to work its magic, you can experience a very powerful projection with a grape soda scent. The blend of bergamot and pineapple notes offer a very fruity accord for less than 30 minutes. Soon, those notes are overtaken by more floral notes of lavender and jasmine. You cannot sense the base notes as prominently.
It certainly does not strike the balance between grounded notes and floral notes that are suitable to men. But if you are someone who likes a soft scent lingering around you, then you can go for it as a unisex perfume.
If you have sprayed in at night, you will wake up with a drydown that is great for cold winter mornings. This definitely is not a perfume that smells or even feels expensive. It is simply a good alternative to try if you cannot get your hands on rather premium perfumes.
18. Curve for Men Cologne Spray
The perfumer behind this scent is Jean Claude Delville, and it was launched in 1996 as an aromatic green fragrance for men. Curve is known for its budget-friendly options for great smelling perfumes, and their first piece was released in 1986 known as Liz Claiborne for Women.
- Best Season/Climate: All
- Ideal For: Men
- Longevity: 5.5/10
- Sillage: 5.5/10
Coming from the bitter orange tree, warm and sweet neroli makes the top notes luminous with its presence. Other tops notes that are in combination with this flower are pineapple, lavender, and lemon and they make one hell of a citrus punch. With the middles notes, elements like ginger, sage, and cardamom give the concoction a spicy-sweet kick. Towards the end, ambar, musk, and vetiver work their magic.
Due to the clean green notes, this product can be worn on an everyday basis without worrying about the cost of restock. Summers are a great time to flaunt this scent as the warmth will enhance the notes even better. It is a decent pick for men.
It definitely lacks some sort of longevity and complexity which is required for a fragrance to grab the attention of other people.
19. Katy Perry Killer Queen Eau de Parfum Spray for Women
The world renowned singer and songstress has a relatively new hand in the fragrance market; however, a lot of people have loved the creations she has been able to come up with. Katy Perry currently has 10 perfume variants launched under her name, with Killer Queen released in 2013. This particular fragrance has been inspired by Freddie Mercury’s song that Ms. Perry resonated with since she was 15.
- Best Season/Climate: All
- Ideal For: Women
- Longevity: 6/10
- Sillage: 8/10
For a celebrity scent, this is quite a rich combination and quite bold if you must. The fragrance opens with the sweet medley of wild berries and dark plum. This accord helps the product really get you into the zone with a relaxing and calming scent with a spike of energy. The heart notes consist of velvety red flowers and dry down into warm patchouli and cashmere.
If you love gourmand scents that are a combination of dark and sweet, then this is going to smell really appealing to you. It is a really versatile perfume and can be used for both day and night times, as well as cold and warm weather.
If the scent of patchouli on your skin is not something you desire a lot, then you should skip this perfume as it has a very prominent note of the same. Performance is okay, you are not going to be disappointed by the sillage of the fragrance. Overall, one of the best cheap cologne for women.
20. Tommy by Tommy Hilfiger for Men
Thomas Jacob Hilfiger is the man behind the designer fragrance and clothing line known as Tommy Hilfiger. The brand came up with its first scent concept in 1996 in conjunction with Estee Lauder. Tommy for Men was launched in 1995 with Annie Buzantian and Alberto Morillas. The idea behind this piece was an aromatic citrus fragrance.
- Best Season/Climate: All
- Ideal For: Men
- Longevity: 5/10
- Sillage: 7/10
The strong stimulating smell of mint blended with the sweet and citrusy grapefruit notes is the first thing you will encounter. The product gives off a very waxy fruity accord right off the bat, which is gradually overtaken by the middle notes that contain more subtle undertones of cranberry and apple and wears down to warm and powdery amber.
This is a good leisure and relaxation smell and works decently for spring time, however, due to the complex balance of sweet and fruity notes, it is good wear for almost all kinds of seasons. Make sure to wear it during the day time.
The fragrance lasts only for a couple of hours, while the sillage is quite decent till the time it is there. All things considered, this is one of the budget-friendly cologne that you know are budget-friendly when they wear-off.
21. Jaguar Classic Black
When the manufacturer of luxury cars stepped up the fragrance game, everyone was unsure what the outcome would be. However, the Jaguar Classic Black that was released in 2009 was acclaimed by the audience along with the brand’s other 33 variants, with the first one created in 1988.
- Best Season/Climate: Summer/Warm
- Ideal For: Men
- Longevity: 7/10
- Sillage: 4/10
It all starts with the whiff of refreshing mandarin, green apples and bitter orange which transports you to your favorite beach quite instantly. You get to sense the top notes for about an hour or so, after which the middle notes of more grounded ingredients like cardamom, musk, and geranium become the showstopper and leave a very masculine drydown.
Starting your summer with this scent is probably going to set the right tone to your season ahead. This is a great perfume that smells expensive but really costs on a below average price level. Ideal for men.
The one thing this product has got bad feedback for is not even its fragrance, it is the shipment issues that truly have irked people in the past. The long-lasting qualities of the scent make sure to sway you to its notes for hours to come, with a below average sillage.
22. Paris Hilton Man By Paris Hilton For Men
Paris Hilton’s brand has been clear-cut luxury since the beginning of time. This american heiress has more than created her perfume line in 2004 in collaboration with Parlux. The current fragrance line has 26 perfumes lined up with the earliest one developed in 2005. Paris Hilton Man is one of the first scents released by the celebrity.
- Best Season/Climate: Summer/Warm
- Ideal For: Men
- Longevity: 7/10
- Sillage: 6/10
The fragrance starts out really sweet and you evidently smell a ripe mango here, but soon the top note wears off and you are met with a combination that feels like cantaloupe. This could be because of cucumber and watermelon but it is not a smell to complain about. Once these initial notes wear off, the fig leaf not is quite strong and persistent and stays constant till the end.
The smell is a great summer smell if you consider the juicy and fresh accord of fruity notes. If you’re a young man who is out on a summer holiday, Paris Hilton Man should be a decent pick for you. It is important to remember that this is only suitable for day times.
One of the off-putting things is not as much the fragrance but the construction of the bottle. Scents need to be packed into something that resonates with their vibe, and many buyers agree that there should’ve been more attention given to the bottle. The performance and sillage are average.
23. RawChemistry Pheromone Cologne For Him
RawChemistry has been the talk of the town due to its human pheromone composition that attracts women. The product is absolutely animal and cruelty free and has been made in a way to really blend in with your skin due to the oily texture it contains.
- Best Season/Climate: All
- Ideal For: Men
- Longevity: 6/10
- Sillage: 7/10
Coming to the scent of the piece, it really depends on the kind of genes you have. There have been many different feedback as to how it reacts on their bodies. Due to the presence of components like androstadienone androstenol androstenone and androsterone pheromones, it can either create a tight grabbing scent that is really attractive and alluring or not do enough.
Although the debate of whether adding pheromones to your perfumes is going to help you attract female attention or not is long going. It is safe to say that if the product works for you, then at least you will be left with a good fragrance above all.
The product lasts for about a decent couple of hours and spreads across really well wherever you go. Since it is an inexpensive option, there is probably nothing wrong with giving it a good try.
24. David Beckham Instinct EDT Spray For Men
Along with the help of perfumers like Alain Astori and Beatrice Piquet, David Beckham was able to launch Instinct in 2005. The fragrance is known as the aromatic fougere smell for men. Beckham fragrances are released in collaboration with Coty, and currently have 33 variants of perfumes under their name.
- Best Season/Climate: Summer/Warm
- Ideal For: Men
- Longevity: 6/10
- Sillage: 6/10
Due to its citrusy notes, the fragrance is quite versatile and can be used by men and women alike. The scent opens up with fresh mandarin orange and bergamot that lift up your vibe, while the drydown is concentrated more toward musky notes. This is your regular good smeller, do not expect it to be daring, or unique.
Fresh orange notes are best suited for summers since you want the citrus to really brighten up and explode with the warm weather. You will probably be able to get more out of this scent if you wear it in summers or hot days.
The product is an average in terms of longevity and sillage both. It would have been really great if it were just a little bit more potent. Not to say that the scent is not good, it is a decent one for the cheap cologne available on the market.
25. Elizabeth Taylor Sparkling White Diamonds
Sparkling While Diamonds is a flanker to the original scent by Elizabeth Taylor. The product was launched in 1996, and is known to be a typical floral fragrance for women.
- Best Season/Climate: Winter/Cold
- Ideal For: Women
- Longevity: 6/10
- Sillage: 4/10
The perfume has a very floral accord, living up to how it was launched. This fragrance is like winter in a bottle of cologne. All the notes set a very soft tone to the piece and it is absolutely exciting as well as relaxing to wear. The lily-in-the-valley is what hits you for the first time, before the neroli and rose take over. Woodsy and soft musk notes dry down this beauty.
This is a light everyday winter smell, if you are a woman and you like an occasional bout of relaxing scents then you can carry this with you to your office or casual day outs. It will not last you more than two to three hours, though.
The product has a strong soapy vibe, which is why sometimes buyers end up spraying it as a room or car freshener. The fragrance does leave a light trail in the background but does not hold up to the original Elizabeth Taylor reputation. An okay buy for the cost.
